Cody, My Hero

Cody my hero humor funny life lifestyle short story Rebekah Koontz.png

I don’t Black Friday shop. Being five-foot-two, I have never had the desire to be trampled into a human pancake, black heel imprints on my forehead.

I work hard to clear up the skin on my forehead. I don’t want footprints on it. Acne products are expensive, man.

However, Friday (yes, The Friday, Black Friday, the big kahoona), giddy from getting my hair done, I waltzed to my nearest Best Buy, blissfully unaware of the ugly shopper’s flurry that surrounded me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

Due to my current location (and horrible wifi) I won’t be able to upload blog posts this week.

Yes. This is annoying. I’ve gone through all five stages of grief:

Denial. Maybe I’m on the wrong wifi? There’s like fifty… Yeah. For sure I’m on the wrong one.

Anger. I CURSE THEE!! YOU USELESS,  SELFISH…

Bargaining. I will trade you my little brother for one hour of connection. Just one hour. Agreed?

Depression. This wifi, the universe, everyone hates me…

And Acceptance, which brings me to this blog post.

I will be sticking older, popular posts to my homepage every day until I can upload new content.

This will be kinda cool, since some of you may have never read these.

So, until we meet again, dear friends, Happy Thanksgiving!

5 Things To Be Thankful For

5 Things To Be Thankful For:Say At The Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is exactly one week away. I suggest we all begin dieting now so we won’t feel guilty after eating the entire pumpkin pie and blaming it on the dog.

Don’t lie. You would stoop to such measures if it was a really good pumpkin pie.

All families are different. Traditionally, siblings and uncles and cousins and parents take turns around the dinner table, smiling warmly and sharing what they’re most thankful for. So, if you’re stressing (or can’t think of anything creative enough) to say on your turn, I’ve got you covered.
