Healthy Habits You Can Start Right Now

First off, congratulations on surviving 2020. (No pun intended)

With the new year upon us (WHOO HOO. 2021!), it’s time to pause and reflect. Look over the past year. Decide if we’re pleased with our productivity, weight, mental health, hygiene, and so on.

While you ponder these things, let me give you 5 healthy habits you can start right now. Like, right now. No gym membership required. I know. Crazy. Let’s get started.

8 Things You May Not Know About Me — (Birthmarks, Crushes, and Hidden Talents!)

I haven’t done a post like this in the past because I didn’t think anyone would care to read it. Also, it’s weird to say, “welcome to a post where I talk all about. . .

ME!!

Then I thought: but it’s fun to read people’s quirks.

THEN I thought: I’ve been blogging for seven years, it could be a fun challenge to think of ten new things.

Challenge accepted.

My Phone Was Stolen . . . And You’d Never Guess Who Did It #ThePerfectCrime

My phone was stolen lifestyle true story rebekah koontz rebecca counts

It was a regular Sunday afternoon. I was in church.

CHURCH, MIND YOU. CHURCH! GOD’S HOUSE.

It was after choir practice and I was helping put music away. I had my precious, immaculate, white, brand-new iPhone XR in my hand. I placed it on a bench, along with my music folder, and turned away briefly to kneel down and grab a stack of music off the floor.

When I turned back, it was gone.

I Have No Volume Control

I do this super cute thing. . . No, seriously. It’s adorable.

Hear me out.

Pun intended.

See. I kinda, sorta in a big way have absolutely no volume control.

The All Academies Military Ball

Every year since my brother attended the academy, we would go to the All Academies Military Ball.

My brother is a senior now. Being as it was the last ball we would attend, I begrudgingly drug my vlogging camera (the one I was swearing I wouldn’t touch until next vlogmas) along with me to capture special little clips of the night’s events.

And I’m glad I did.

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017

goodbye-2016-hello-2017-new-year-goals-resolutions-rebekah-koontz-rebecca-koontz

2016 was hard. Things went bad, people turned mean, hardships popped out of the ground, extended their arms with jazz hands, and spat “hello!” into my face.

I took to calling my year of 21 my Year Of Humility. My coming of age story, a journey through life and a dive-bomb straight into adulthood.

I’ve grown a lot.

I Fight With My Camera A Lot | VLOGMAS #13

I may not act it in this video, but I just had that horrifying realization that as a 21-year-old human being, I am practically a grown adult. Practically. As in, a full grown woman.

Woah, man.

So I should probably stop getting into hissy fits and marriage disputes with inanimate objects. I think I just discovered my 2017 new year resolution.

“JOGHURT!!!” | VLOGMAS #11

Another Sunday, another long day. So much to vlog!! Watching this makes me smile. I love my friends.

They’re so patient with me when I continuously interrupt their adult conversations by  screaming, “JOGHURT!”

Shopping, Shopping | VLOGMAS #9

I leave the house, and get spendy, and get … smelly?

I may have too much fun in this vlog. But how much fun can one girl have, alone, in a car, with her camera?

Woah boy. Too. Much. Fun.

Words That Make Up A Christmas Song | VLOGMAS #7

I can’t upload another video about doing nothing. – The thought that started it all.

They say necessity is the mother of invention. Stress of vlogmas is the father of forced creativity.

I really enjoyed making today’s video.
