A few weeks ago, we drove to visit Chris at his college. It’s a six to seven hour drive.

You may find it strange that we chose to take the van after what happened weeks before, but it was fixed and fine and ready to go.

We packed it full of our belongings and hit the road.

Cars Break Down — A Koontz Lifestyle Post

Yesterday, our van broke down, (luckily) after lunch, but in the rain—basically in the middle of the road. Though, it was well enough in the middle so cars could move around us easily.

It was no big deal.

Our cars have been breaking down all my life. I’ve pushed little cars, big cars, in the rain, in the mud, up hills.

My one negative thought about the van breaking down was, darn, I’m wearing my favorite heels. .

Back In The Thrifting Game & Converting A Retail Shopper

After my big makeover on From My Secondhand Closet, it’s only fitting that I follow it up with a thrift day. We all know this.

The last time I hung out with Jake was for our Ontario Mills excursion. We both dressed up and walked the mall and drank Starbucks, and ate Auntie Em pretzels, and shared a huge Cinnabon that plopped, in unison with Jake’s gasp, onto my prom dress..

It was a fun day.

But Michael Kors and Calvin Klein are Jake’s thing. Now it was time to show him some real shopping.

We were going thrifting.
