Jake, Lorraine, and I go see the horror/comedy Krampus!
I’m not one for scary movies, but I will tell you I thoroughly enjoyed this!
I don’t think the spoilers in my vlog are huge (it’s a scary movie, they’re all kinda the same), but if you’re like me and you don’t like to watch even a trailer before seeing a movie, it may bother you that we discuss it.

“Nothing can prepare you for the end.”
It says so, right on the cover photo of the film. Nothing can prepare you for the end; not even the statement about you not being prepared.
This movie has it all: Action, Romance, Suspense, Horror (my friend squealed, I promised him I wouldn’t name names), and—of course—an attractive cast.
Jennifer Lawrence is flawless. I’m on team Peeta all the way, and they don’t describe Gale as “the hot best friend” for nothing.

“Sure to cause goose bumps all the way to the dramatic and surprising end.” – School Library Journal
Bliss is a chilling story of racism, murder, and an ugly desire for a power beyond what we can see.
Lauren Myracle has ingeniously intertwined these three gripping topics to being a teenage girl in the 1960s.

“Don’t pack away the book with the blood on it,” I said.
My mom scanned the stacks and stacks of books that lined the wall under my window. “Which book?”
“It has blood on it. No. It has blood on it.”

“Maybe we should watch this in the daytime so we don’t get scared. It’s Tim Burton.”
“Is this the one where they pluck out the girl’s eyes? Or is that Coraline…”
My family had a lot of ideas and expectations when it came to Tim Burton’s movie, Big Eyes. Halfway through the film, when we realized no one would be falling into a rabbit hole that transported them to twisty, gray Burton-Land, we were greatly surprised.

I read the book. I saved the money. I was shaking with excitement.
Paper Towns is out in theaters! And I wasted no time zipping to the movies to see it. I didn’t even cry about not having candy or popcorn. The movie was all I needed to be happy.
And I found a piece of gum in my purse to snack on.

“Good Grief” by
Lotty Lolly Weston, Wilson Winston. Lolly Winston.
The name sounds so simple, and I have YET to say it correctly. It’s like when you forget how to pronounce “of”. Your heart says but it’s so easy and your brain says you’re just dumb.
I was really excited to read this book because I’m a writer, and it’s intriguing to find a book written about grief to be, “Filled with laugh-out-loud humor, struggles, triumphs, and plenty of midnight trips to the fridge…”
Mostly, I read this book just to see if Ms. Winston could pull it off.

I, like many other girls, have a problem. I admit to it the same way I’ll admit to liking not cleaning my room and drinking coffee.
I like makeup. I enjoy makeup. I currently am wearing makeup.
A lot of my money is invested in this hobby.
Recently, I found myself in the makeup isle at Target. Total coincidence. Very, clip-clop-clip-clop GASP! ‘Oh golly, however did I end up here?’
Then I wander the isles with my broke self, poking at the devil’s tummy to tempt me with something good.
NYX tried to allure me into a $7 eyeliner. And then my eyes fell on the Maybelline display. In all it’s pink chrome glory.

I finished Paper Towns by John Green last night.

I am dubbing today #GetToKnowMe Friday.
Because it’s Friday. . .
And you’re getting to know me. Tada!
I mentioned it briefly in my The Different Faces Of Makeup post that I’m an anime fan. You could say a ‘closet’ anime fan until this point, but I’m coming out of the closet!
I made it weird. . . Sorry.
Bad joke, Rebekah. Bad joke.
