What I Got For Christmas 2014

DSC02608 (1)

I love reading What I Got For Christmas posts, so why not write my own?

Disclaimer: I am in no way bragging. (Everyone puts this disclaimer and for good reason, so I shall do the same.) I like reading these kind of posts because I’m nosy, and I think what you get says a lot about your personality. But if you’re the kind of person that is easily jealous, please read one of the other 357 posts up on my blog. It will be more enjoyable for the both of us that way.

The final thing I will say is that Christmas is in no way about the material presents, but about the greatest gift of our salvation in Jesus Christ, who was born on Christmas. Let’s not ever forget that. We have so much more to be thankful for.

All that to say, I’ll jump right into the post.

BLOGMAS #24 — MERRY CHRISTMAS!

DSC01360

Merry Christmas everyone!

Today, we had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner at home. We had quite a few people over. I had made a pumpkin pie. It was fun.

Then, as has become tradition simply from my family’s over-all lack of patience, we opened gifts at midnight.

Here are pictures from my Christmas. I hope you enjoy them!

BLOGMAS Day #23 — Chris’ Movication

Edited

I love movies. Spend fifteen minutes with me, and I’ll give you either an exact quote or ask you three different times, regarding three different movies, “have you seen —??”

Constantly, Chris and I have been saying we need a movie day. He doesn’t understand half of my movie references, though he can appreciate my actor impersonations.

Well, we’ve officially started his movi-cation.

BLOGMAS Day #22 — The Sweater Weather Tag

Cropped

It’s going down. I’m doing the sweater weather tag. . In December.

But people wear sweaters in December (as well as Autumn), so I just made the questions more winter-y.

Call me miracle worker.

BLOGMAS Day #21 — The Candlelight Service

DSC01082

Today was the candlelight service at church.

It started as a good afternoon, hanging with Chris and getting Mexican food, and being – of course – obnoxious with my new camera.

BLOGMAS Day #20 — Caroling & Nighttime Pictures

My day started at five forty this morning. My stomach cringes at the thought.

Opening the shop went well, though. Everyone was very nice to me, and the time didn’t drag on.

A seventy year old man also asked me if I was married and if I had an older sister. I don’t know how those two questions correspond with each other, but I answered no to both.

I then drank a lot of coffee and came home and took a nap, because I knew tonight was going to be a long one.

Because we went caroling! (Doesn’t above¬†look like a rock star pic?)

BLOGMAS Day #19 — He’s HERE!

Woke up early today, which is a sign that today was a big day. (Or else, believe me, I would not be up at seven otherwise.)

Blogmas 19 026

Jake picked me up, and we started the day off with breakfast.

BLOGMAS Day #17 — Kindergarten Teacher’s How Not To. .

Tonight was the last night of the year for my Wednesday kindergarten class.

And we had a party.

BLOGMAS Day #16 — My Workout Routine & Healthy Eating Habits

Oh where, oh where, did my little day go?

I feel like that’s from a nursery rhyme, but I can’t remember what it is. . .

I’m dwelling on this. Why? Move on, Rebekah. .

So I went to the gym today.

Wore my fancy new sneakers my parents bought me as an early Christmas present. I usually don’t like the look of exercise shoes, but I think these are really nice.

BLOGMAS Day #14 — Broken Forks & Candlelight

One week and four days until Christmas!! DSC00453

But who’s counting. .

This morning, I had Sunday School, choir, and church service. Then we hurried home to another crock pot lunch. (You would think Crock Pot was sponsoring me.)
