Blogging, writing, YouTube(?)-ing are all very solo activities.
YouTubers have learned to branch out and form collaborations with each other, torturously forcing themselves to change out of their week-old pj’s and suffering through conversation with a warm-skinned, breathing human.
But! They found a solution! A way to collaborate without ever having to be in the same room: the _____ Does My Voiceover tag.
Which, in essence, is kinda sad because Mechanical Ninjineer is a really cool person and may even be my twin, so having real-life conversation with that certain human wouldn’t have been so bad.

Today, the struggle was real. However, I fought through the exhaustion, caffeine shakes, and vigorous ADHD to produce for you—for YOU, dear friend— a review of some pretty awesome makeup products, all things considered.
Two of Kat Von D’s LockIt Concealers, translucent powder, two brushes, and even my Kat Von D contour pallet made it into the mix.
I think it’s no secret that Kat Von D knows her makeup.

I had no idea what I was getting before slicing open a mysterious black box that arrived earlier that week.
My reaction says it all.
Watch to be entertained and see how I wear green mascara and handle the overwhelming flood of emotions that came with it.

It’s Mother’s Day here in the U.S. The day of pastels, and lilies, and lots and lots of massive, heart-shaped cards entitled I love you THIS much!
It was a lovely coincidence that I was sent a foundation too dark for my skin tone.
In true Mommy-Spirit, my mom graciously sat and smiled as I fluttered around her, dabbing, and spraying, and wiping. It got dicey when we came to mascara. But the foundation was definitely the star of the show.

I almost called this post “Pink Eye.” Aren’t you glad I didn’t?
Dodged that bullet.
Filming Vlogmas last Christmas instilled a YouTube passion in me. With spring colors (and an easy makeup look even I can’t mess up), the time has come—*dramatic pause*—for me to conquer—*second dramatic pause*—my first makeup tutorial.

Do you like lemon cake? Or lemon frosting on a lemon cake? Or sugary sweet lemonade, with a lemon cookie on the side?
You may eat these lipsticks.
Did anyone else’s stomach growl just then?

A girly-er vlog today. However, equally as entertaining!
(It even includes a teaser for tomorrow’s vlogmas.)
I used a Garnier box dye on my hair and colored my whole head for the first time. It was an experience. I include my very first, unscripted, natural reaction in this vlog.
Disclaimer: Please don’t let the reaction scare you. It really isn’t that bad.

Hello, my internet friends.
It’s not very often that I begin a post with “hello,” so, hello.
I have been doing quite a bit of thrift store shopping lately. Considering I have yet to finish my Medical Transcription curriculum and tap into a fountain of wealth, this is a little concerning.
But then, I remember my jeans were 25¢.

First, I’m sorry to the half dozen men/boys who read my blog—you guys are great! But I have returned with back-to-back girly content. I have no control over it. I am merely slightly peeved. Not ticked. Not to the point of ranting.
But wrongs have been done. And I need to right these wrongs.
It has to do with the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara reviews I’ve read.
And possibly the fact that I am makeup challenged, but mostly, I blame the reviews.
Now, the mascara is great, but everyone misses one tiny issue.

I, like many other girls, have a problem. I admit to it the same way I’ll admit to liking not cleaning my room and drinking coffee.
I like makeup. I enjoy makeup. I currently am wearing makeup.
A lot of my money is invested in this hobby.
Recently, I found myself in the makeup isle at Target. Total coincidence. Very, clip-clop-clip-clop GASP! ‘Oh golly, however did I end up here?’
Then I wander the isles with my broke self, poking at the devil’s tummy to tempt me with something good.
NYX tried to allure me into a $7 eyeliner. And then my eyes fell on the Maybelline display. In all it’s pink chrome glory.
