Have you ever personally invited yourself to a gathering?

An acquaintance announces that after the church social, “a couple of us are going/doing…,” and it’s this dangling invitation, floating in the air, waiting for you to grab it.

The lovely Megan from Lazy Thoughts made such an invitation to do the Christmas Tag.

And this is me, grabbing it.

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
This is very hard. Either The Santa Clause or White Christmas.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
My family has NO PATIENCE. I rather wait until Christmas morning, since I like the anticipation of Christmas the most. Our “compromise” for the past couple of years is waiting until midnight to open presents, then we go to bed.

3. Do you like to stay in your PJs on Christmas day or dress up?
I’m a PJ girl all the way. If we ain’t going out, I ain’t changin’.

Unless I get new PJs, then I’ll change into those.

4. If you could only buy one person a present this year, who would it be?
(Teaser: Megan mentioned someone named Sam… Who is this Sam, Megan? *wink, wink*)

I would pick my mom. Ironically, she’s the one who’s the least into presents. So I know that the act of me choosing her, specifically, would mean the most to her.

5. Have you ever built a gingerbread house?
Yes! I was in a gingerbread house decorating competition. It was me and five other girls, crammed around this poor naked gingerbread house, getting icing in our hair, and awkwardly rolling and re-rolling up the sleeves of our ugly Christmas sweaters.

I think we won.

6. What do you like to do on your Christmas break?

I like spending it with Chris while he’s visiting, eating fudge and sugar cookies (and candy), and doing all sorts of Christmas-themed activities like missions projects and caroling. I love it all.
7. Any Christmas wishes?
Same as Megan. Just for a wonderful Christmas!

8. Favourite Christmas food?
Cheesy potatoes…

Oh yeah.

Extra cheese.

9. Candy cane or gingerbread man?
I didn’t know these were substitutable! … Give me a gingerbread man.

Because he’s a MAN. Haha, kidding. I just like spicy gingerbread and cinnamon things.

10. What is at the top of your Christmas list?
The Kat Von D contour palette and a whole bunch of “lounge wear” (ie. more pajamas).
