College Costume Party

College costume party

October lovers will be pleased to know that I am extending the costumes, pumpkins, and horror festivities for one more week here on my blog.

Even though there is already talk of Christmas… But hey. I’m a rebel. You’re welcome.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a casual lifestyle post. Our costume party has perfect timing, and I was so pleased. Everyone came, dressed to impress.

I won’t lie and tell you that we didn’t threaten to dress the boys as princesses, and paint mustaches on the girls. But I was still pleasantly surprised, when I ambled down the porch ramp and into the backyard, to find a chef, a referree, Hulk, and three Batmen sitting together(?).

One of the most creative costumes was a “Combat Welder.”

In way of intimidation, it was effective. Go, Brian!

My favorite are the group costumes.

My parents dressed as Gomez and Morticia Adams. We also had the Scooby Do Gang (and bad guy).

Meatballs and yogurt-apple-chocolate-bar salad were quickly being consumed (it was a college potluck). Spider web cupcakes and banana bread were revealed. Conversation commenced.

I snapped some really great photos.

We bust out the Pictionary (I got race. How the heck do you draw race? I drew what I thought to be a finish line, a stick person running, and a #1 prize ribbon. When I sat back, it looked like a chocolate bar, a stick person, and a deformed sun. How).

After a few heated games of Catch Phrase, it was time to wrap up our loud get together—meaning Spontaneous Modeling Session.

Don’t my brother and his girlfriend look tiny? I took the picture!

Oh yeah. My costume.

I dressed as a Tim Burton inspired Rag Doll. I also wore false eyelashes for the first time.

That’s a milestone in a woman’s life.

I may have toyed with some effects.

  1. Very cool, the photos look great and so does your costume! Halloween is late for me this year, as my friends and I are having a party this coming weekend, I can’t wait 🙂 Funnily enough, the first time I ever wore false lashes was last Halloween too! x

As for the lashes, one word, tricky!! Although actually I found them a lot easier last time than this time! :-/ x
