Spring. Summer. Fall. Winter.
Fall. Not Autumn. Fall. Who says Autumn? Is there somewhere in the world where it is spring, summer, autumn, winter? I’m truly curious.
Moving on.
FALL IS UPON US!
For the past few months, I’ve worked on being excited about things—not in the sense that I’m turning myself into an obnoxious human being, but because being excited is decades away from dreading something.
I’m great at dreading the things I have no control over. I want to channel that energy into being excited about the things I have no control over. (Good thing I don’t have a problem with control.)
Perhaps you’re dreading the start of a new school year and all that comes with it. Maybe this can help you out!
I’ll stop playing Psychologist now and get to the list.
1. The cool weather.
California has had a scorching summer. We’ve been toying with the 100 degree mark since June.
Being that we are Californians, we thought this was the end of the world as we know it. Luckily we were wrong.
2. Leather jackets.
What piece of clothing instantly makes an outfit look cool? A leather jacket.
What piece of clothing makes you cool? A leather jacket.
What piece of clothing will shriek and die if you get it wet? A leather jacket.
But you’ll be cool, dude.
Shoutout to the girls with this one! Are you ready?
3. Less shaving.
There, there. Shh. I know. You’re so giddy that you want to cry. I understand.
Here. Put on this long sleeve blouse and leggings. You’ve earned it. You’ve made it through the summer. Now rest.
4. Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
P.S. Coming from an ex-barista, Starbucks makes the best one. Honor where honor is due.
5. Pumpkin pie… Pumpkin carving… Pumpkin candles… Pumpkin lip balm…
6. Freezing to death on the bleachers of a fall Football game.
That’s some people’s idea of a good time.
(*cough* Chris…)
7. Candy and costumes!
I’m already planning my costume for this year (going for a Tim Burton theme)! Who’s with me!
8. Thanksgiving.
I’m so excited.
BRING ON THE BOOTS AND CARDIGANS!

AUTUMN. AUTUMN. Autumn. Rebekah, Autumn.
Now we’ve cleared that up 😉
This is definitely my favourite time of year, for the reasons you’ve mentioned and so many more. The orangey colours on the trees and cool evenings in with a cup of tea, how can anyone hate Autumn!? Sorry, Fall…

Haha so it’s a UK thing? I’ll give you this; at least you’ll never get it confused with something you do as you trip.
Orange colors! I can’t believe I forgot that one. Fall colors are absolutely my favorite. . Or, Autumn colors. . Lol

Huh that’s strange! Why does winter come first?

Not sure. But technically the year starts off with winter, right? Also ends with winter..

Maybe I begin with spring because spring is the renewal and regrowth in nature.

For sure! I didn’t realize how many long sleeved tops I owned until this heat wave, and suddenly I had nothing to wear! Lol. I’m excited for it to cool down.

I’m excited for fall too. Mostly because I love wearing boots and denim jackets.
And Christmas…

What’s your favorite time of the year?

Definitely Summer for me, I love the warmth and the long days. When it gets dark here in the late Autumn/Winter at about 4.00 in the afternoon, it’s pretty horrible!

I’m not a fan of pumpkins unless it’s in candle form so I’m not excited about that.. I am however, excited for the holidays!

I am obsessed with pumpkins! Is there a reason why you don’t like them?
