I honestly wasn’t going to do New Years resolutions. No need to gasp. I never do New Years resolutions.
I thought a New Years resolution was a fancy word for “diet.” And yes, I’m somewhat cynical so I completed that with “diet I never intend to keep.”
I do not plan on dieting this year, in case you were wondering.
But here’s a short list of things I do want to accomplish this year. I don’t believe in creating these great big goals, because I’ll either feel overwhelmed or like a complete failure if I don’t complete them.
They’re not in any specific order.
1. Relationship: Read the Bible more and prayer journal every day.
I don’t want to write “complete every day” for Bible reading because, again, I’ll feel like I failed if I miss a day. But to read a chapter at least four days out of the week is a huge accomplishment for me, and I know it will help me grow.

2. Health: Eat better & make more effort to work out
I’m a Ding-Dong And CheezIts for breakfast kind of girl, but I do pay for a gym membership. (I’m one of those people.) Especially since the gym has Food Network playing at the treadmills, it’s not that big a burden to go.
I also constantly forget to eat breakfast. I wake up and get on my computer and next thing I know it’s lunchtime. I really do pay for it health-wise.

3. Habits: Attempt to be neater.
I wrote a terribly clever article on How Not To Clean Your Room. I sound like a professional on the matter for a reason.
4. Attitude: Worry less, Laugh more
It’s funny. I can laugh at a bad situation once I’m in it, but before it happens, I worry and worry that something will get worse. It’s a waste of time, really.
I’m continuing to learn to let go, and let God.
5. Grow: My blog!
I’m really excited about my blog. I’ve been blogging for years, but this is the first time I’ve seen actual growth. I’m gaining more followers, becoming more comfortable in myself and doing my own thing as opposed to following anyone else’s rules, and I’m being read! My. Words. Are being read! That’s really all it’s been about for me.
*stays quiet for a moment because she’s touched and happy, no matter how cheesy that seems*
Look! I got fancy and categorized them with Relationship, Health, Habits, Attitude, and Grow. Number 4 is already in play!
What about you? What are your resolutions? Are you vague like me so you don’t get overwhelmed, or are you specific so you know exactly when your goal is reached?
Let me know in the comments!
These all sound great! Good luck with them!
Your blog is great, keep at it!

I know what you mean, I get up, straight on the laptop, then it’s lunch time! I try to get in a workout at 11 but it doesn’t always happen. It boosts my mood though so I really need to get in the habit! I have the same feeling at the moment, it feels weird people reading your thoughts and actually wanting to come back for more, it’s only really started last month for me so it’s still very new!!
